Metro’s long term goal is to make sure that video games, and the esports industry, is fully inclusive by fostering a gaming community that is ‘welcoming to all players, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, religious belief, background, or physical appearance’.

At Metro we believe in building an esports industry where everyone can thrive. Like many industries, there is a culture that surrounds gaming that isn’t as inclusive or supportive as it could be. We are working to change that with the help of some incredible partners, like Riot Games, ReedPop, and Logitech. Video games are played by millions of people every day all around the world, from every walk of life. We believe that this open and inclusive atmosphere should extend to the esports industry as well, and that starts with working to identify some of the best, underrepresented talent from minority, disabled, neurodiverse, and LGBTQIA+ talent. While there have been more efforts to foster an inclusive and diverse atmosphere from some industry leaders, we believe that more can, and should, be done. Our mission at Metro Esports is to build community by attracting, engaging, entertaining and educating, a broad and diverse group of aspiring gaming and technology enthusiasts. Metro’s long term goal is to make sure that video games, and the esports industry, is fully inclusive by fostering a gaming community that is ‘welcoming to all players, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, religious belief, background, or physical appearance’. “As a humble, ‘always learning’ company, we expect to be held accountable not just for our financial performance, but also for our performance in contributing to a world that is fair for every person. Change can start with us. We can address systemic discrimination and help assure equality within our company and model the right actions for our industry and others.”- Bracken Darell, CEO, Logitech.
